In 2026, DVAA will administer up to six discipline-specific fellowships to Sullivan County artists. The artist must live and work in Sullivan County. Each artist will receive $5,000 to facilitate the creation of new artwork in 2026. We are accepting applications for the following disciplines: Visual Arts, Literary Arts, and Compositional Arts. The purpose of this fellowship is to stimulate the creation of new and significant work. The guidelines can be found here.

Deadline Extended - Applicants are required to complete and submit an application prior to January 31, 2026 (11:59 pm EST) to be considered for funding.

The goals of Arts for Sullivan are to:       

- offer two funding strands: Pre-K-12 In-School or After School Projects and Community-based Learning.

- support arts education projects for closed groups of learners

  •  support quality programming that enhances underserved constituents and regions of the county, including racial, cultural, and ethnic diversity, rural areas, the poor, youth, and the elderly;  
  • promote communication and understanding between the different facets of the Sullivan County community through arts and culture, and educate community leaders on the grant process and resources available;
  • and support the arts that encourage multi-disciplinary expression and collaboration with other community sectors, such as environmental and heritage groups.

WELCOME! This is the form to submit a show proposal to the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance for consideration as part of our 2026 Performing Arts Season. 

DVAA’s performing arts program features high-quality work by both emerging and professional artists with an emphasis on those who live and work full or part-time in the Mid-Hudson, Catskill, or Upper Delaware River Regions. 


Our programming includes theatrical productions, spoken word, live music spanning classical music and jazz to singer/songwriters and immersive soundscapes, puppetry, film, dance, experimental theater, children’s programming, staged readings, and more. 


DVAA is committed to providing rural audiences with access to intimate live performance experiences that spotlight artistic excellence, invite engagement, and blur the boundaries of traditional art forms.


Never-before-seen works, emerging artists, and performers from historically marginalized backgrounds are particularly encouraged to submit. We are committed to accessibility and performers of all abilities are welcome.

 

About DVAA's Performance Venues DVAA boasts two ADA accessible venues: the Tusten Theatre and Krause Recital Hall, both located in Narrowsburg, NY, approximately 2 hours from NYC. 

· The Tusten Theatre is located at 210 Bridge St., Narrowsburg, NY. The century-old deco theater seats 150 and features a proscenium stage, retractable projector screen, installable Marley floor, and a Baby Grand Piano. Stage measures 22 ft wide x 15 ft deep.

We present programming in the Tusten Theatre between mid-April and mid-December each year.

We primarily present one-off performances but are open to short runs featuring multiple performances over a given weekend.
 

· Krause Recital Hall is located at the DVAA building at 37 Main St., Narrowsburg, NY. The space seats 80 and features a 1913 Mason Hamlin Grand Piano. Parlor space measures 22'3" ft wide x 21'5" feet deep.

Krause Recital Hall is home to DVAA’s winter salon series presented between February and mid-April as well as special events during the year.

 

Guidelines and Selection Process Proposals are reviewed and selected by DVAA’s Executive Director and Performing Arts Manager. DVAA prioritizes work by local, regional, minority, and previously unrecognized artists. Additionally, we welcome submissions from artists in the New York Metro, Philadelphia Metro, and Northern New Jersey region. If you've submitted or performed at DVAA before, feel free to submit again. Special consideration will be made for entries by artists outside of those areas whose work addresses regional topics including social, historical, communal, and environmental concerns relevant to the Sullivan Catskills and Upper Delaware Valley. 

 

Notification You will receive a confirmation email upon submitting your proposal. DVAA’s Performing Arts Manager may follow up with additional questions pertaining to the piece or the intention of the show. DVAA will notify applicants via email if their proposal has been selected for the 2026 Performing Arts Season.
